Welcome to the Macquarie University Chess Club website. The club runs during term and meets weekly. It also runs an internal university championship and has plans to run at least one open competition every year. Our members play in competitions around New South Wales and we look forward to an increased membership base during 2007.

• First meeting of the year - first WEDNESDAY (NOTE CHANGE OF DAY FOR MEETINGS) of Semester I, 2007 (4.30 pm @ SAM bar terrace).

• O-Week Stall and Joining Up for 2007 - since the club will not have a stall during O-Week, it is very important that all returning and new members attend meetings in the first 2 weeks of semester and sign membership list to ensure that the Chess club can get access to support funds during the year. A sign-up sheet for chess club will probably be availble at one of the other sports club stalls (to be named later).
